Privacy Policy
Effective November 5, 2026
RytMiles is made by BragDeal Inc. ("we", "us"), a company in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains what the RytMiles app and website collect, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Location and drives. With your permission, the app uses your iPhone's location and motion activity to detect drives and record their routes, start and end places, times and distances. Recording happens in the background only while a drive is in progress; between drives the app receives only the coarse movement events iOS provides. This is the core of the service and cannot be turned off while automatic detection is on; you can switch detection off and record drives by hand instead.
- Account. Your email address (or the identity Apple or Google provides when you sign in with them), a display name if you add one, and the country you select.
- What you enter. Business or personal choices, route rules, vehicles, named places, purposes, clients and notes, your deduction rate and units.
- Purchases. Subscriptions are sold through Apple. We receive the subscription status and product from Apple's receipts via RevenueCat, never your card details.
- Device and diagnostics. A random device identifier (to tie the free week to one device), the app version, and crash and error logs that contain no route data.
How we use it
- To record, sort and report your drives, and to sync them between your devices.
- To run your account: sign-in codes, subscription status, backup and export.
- To answer feedback you send from the app.
- To keep the service working and secure.
We do not sell personal data, show advertising, or use your routes for anything other than your own log.
Who else sees it
- Apple processes payments and, when you use it, Sign in with Apple. Maps and place names come from Apple's MapKit on your device.
- RevenueCat relays subscription status between Apple and us.
- SendGrid (Twilio) delivers our emails, such as sign-in codes.
- Hostinger hosts our servers and database.
Each of them receives only what its job needs. We disclose data when the law requires it.
Where it lives and for how long
Your drives are stored on your iPhone and in your RytMiles account on our servers (hosted by Hostinger). We keep them for as long as your account exists. Sign-in codes expire after ten minutes and are stored only as hashes.
Your choices
- Permissions. Location (Always or While Using) and Motion & Fitness are controlled in iPhone Settings. With While Using only, automatic detection stops and manual drives still work.
- Export. Settings > Export my data gives you every drive, rule, vehicle and place as CSV and JSON.
- Delete. Settings > Delete account removes your drives, rules, vehicles, places and settings from our servers right away and ends your sessions. Subscription records required for refunds and tax are kept as the law requires.
- Email. We only send account emails (sign-in codes, receipts, report deliveries you request). There is no marketing list.
Children
RytMiles is for people who drive for work and is not directed at children under 16.
